well, there are lots of sites to check random websites traffic. But none of them are so accurate. Often people believe alexa , similar web , sem rush , ahrefs data. But my question is "with out verifying or accessing the internal traffic flow( which is basically done by installing a code in the header section of home page etc processes) how can a 3rd party site could know the traffic data of a site ?
Honestly , all these questions are bully questions . alexa , ahrefs , similiar web all of them dont have full access to of your internal pages and they just do a bully algorithm to check the traffic. They cannot show you traffic data accurately. They have just a very basic algorithm to check the traffic data of a website and shows an average data on traffic.
Then how to check the website traffic ? The accurate traffic is being shown by google analytics code or google webmaster tools. Alexa also verifies your website , though it is paid .lets discuss them.
Google webmaster tools will be the great to check the seo traffic. And so far it is the best way to check the organic traffic. It checks the four factors - clicks , impressions , CTR and position. Google webmaster tools compare the traffic for 7 days and 28 days period. Not just the organic traffic data , google webmaster tools also the links to your site( no. of organic back links ) , internal links. Google webmaster tools also reports if there are any errors to your site like - 301 error etc. Basically google webmaster tools is only tool to check a seo's performance.
Google analytics tools is also another tool to see seo traffic. How ever you need to have a detail knowledge on google analytics code. The google analytics actually traffic coming form all sources like - social media , search console , ppc & adwords traffic. So , you need to know the proper channel in order to rectify this.
There are other tools as well . However, I believe google webmaster tools and google analytics are the best.
